American community colleges have become a popular choice for studying abroad in recent years because of their "low tuition fees" and the world's first "transfer system." Most of the students who choose community colleges have a three-level jump mentality: use the community college as a springboard, apply for a prestigious school two years later, and then apply for graduate students, directly to top-ranking elite schools.
